Standard LiPo battery Lithium polymer or ion cell with a nominal voltage of 3.7V
Due to its special chemical properties, the solid LiPo battery achieves the highest energy density (up to 180Wh/kg as of April 2005) compared to all other battery types. The LiPo battery is a further development of the lithium-ion battery. Due to its film-like layer structure, the design can be adapted quite freely to the available space.
The resulting increase in capacity is essential for many applications as more and more features in the devices consume more and more power, even in stand-by mode. Here we offer LiPo battery solutions according to capacity requirements. It should be noted that LiPo batteries are electrically and thermally more sensitive to incorrect handling.
Overcharging, deep discharging, excessive currents, operation at temperatures that are too high (>60° C) or too low (< 0° C) and storage in a discharged state will damage or destroy the cell in most cases.
To protect the cell there is an attached safety electronics unit that monitors the corresponding LiPo battery values.
If necessary, it can interrupt the circuit to protect the LiPo battery.
Please note that an additional protection circuit increases the overall length of the LiPo battery by approx. 2 mm.
A selection of different standard sizes and capacities is presented below.
